An early entry candidate for the 2007 NBA Draft.

Career Highlights: Fifth freshman in Atlantic Coast Conference history to
win Tournament MVP honors. Broke the ACC single-season freshman record
with .646 field goal percentage. Earned ACC Freshman of the Week honors
six times, the second-most in Carolina history.

Freshman (2006-07): ACC Rookie of the Year and All-ACC Second Team
selection. Named to the NCAA All-East Regional Team after averaging 12.8
points and 7.0 rebounds in four NCAA contests. Led the ACC in field goal
percentage (.646) and was the only player in the conference to shoot at
least 60 percent from the floor. Led the Tar Heels in blocked shots (65,
6th in ACC) and was second on the team in scoring (14.7 ppg, 13th) and
rebounding (6.2 rpg, 14th). Scored in double figures in the first 18
games and 33 overall. Recorded a season-high 24 points vs. NC State and
scored 20 or more on eight occasions. Recorded first double-double with
21 points and a season-high 13 rebounds in loss to Gonzaga at Madison
Square Garden in Preseason NIT. Named to the All-NIT Tournament Team.

High School: Two-time Parade All-America selection. Second-Team USA Today
All-America selection. Played in McDonald's All-Star Game, Jordan Classic
and Nike Hoop Summit. Orlando Sentinel's Southern Player of the Year.
Named Tennessee's Division II Mr. Basketball in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
First three-time recipient at any level of Tennessee high school
basketball. Four-time Most Valuable Player of the Tennessee Division II
private school state championship tournament. Led Brentwood Academy to
four consecutive state titles, the first time in Tennessee high school
basketball history that has been accomplished. Scored 2,662 career
points, grabbed 1,200-plus rebounds and blocked nearly 600 shots. As a
senior, averaged 22.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 5.1 blocks per game. Had
four triple doubles (points, rebounds and blocks).

Strengths: Wingspan, body control and athleticism make him a force near
the basket. Can score in a variety of ways and shoots a very high
percentage. Extremely fluid running the floor.
