Mengniu to cooperate with inte'l research organization

(February 21, 2005) Yang Wenjun, deputy president of Inner Mongolia's
Mengniu Dairy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd indicated that probiotics yogurt
would be a new strategic focus of Mengniu. In February 2005 the group
signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chansen Company in
Denmark, a research organization on probiotics in a country strong in the
diary industry. Mengniu would also cooperate with Chansen and establish
probiotics labs for the research and development of LABS probiotics
suitable for Chinese. These measures will completely upgrade Mengniu's
yogurt line.
