Exempting agricultural tax to be achieved

Chen Xiwen, deputy director of the Office of Central Financial Work
Leading Group, announced yesterday that China's policy of agricultural
tax exemption would cover 24 provinces and autonomous regions in 2005.
The country's goal of exempting agricultural tax within five years would
be achieved ahead of schedule.
