WEF releases Global IT Report

The World Economic Forum (WEF), host of the Davos Meeting, released its
2004 Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) on information technology a few
days ago. This was the fourth annual report by the WEF. The GCR listed IT
competitiveness indices of 104 countries and regions; the top ten are
Singapore, Iceland, Finland, Denmark, USA, Sweden, Hong Kong, Japan,
Switzerland and Canada. According to the report, China ranked 41st with
0.17 points, rising two places from 43rd in 2003. Singapore ranked first
with 1.73 points.
