The 10th China International Education Exhibition Tour opened at the
World Trade Center in Beijing on February 26th. Held over two days, the
participants consisted of more than 350 universities and educational
institutes coming 27 countries and regions that included the United
States, England, France, and Australia. The exhibition attracted many
local students and their parents, who came for consultations and talks. A
highlight of the exhibition could be found at the Holland zone, where
consultation staff who were dressed in distinctive Dutch costumes were
enthusiastically giving explanations to the visitors and handing out
marketing brochures.
Chinanews, Feb. 28 - The first two-day session of the 10th China
International Education Exhibition Tour opened in Beijing's World Trade
Center yesterday. The annual "battle for student recruits" among the over
350 foreign schools and other educational institutions officially started.
Over 350 schools and educational institutions from 27 countries and
regions, including the UK, France, Holland, Ireland, Canada, the United
States, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, Switzerland, South
Korea, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, participated in today's education
exhibition.
This year's education exhibition is different from the previous ones in
that, in addition to foreign universities, technology institutes,
preparatory schools for universities and vocational colleges and schools,
a number of language schools, high schools and cooperative programs by
Chinese institutions and foreign counterparts also took part in this
education exhibition. One high school from Australia even displayed a
Chinese-style slogan reading "all our graduates last year had excellent
exam results, better than the admission requirements of the University of
Melbourne ".
In the education exhibition, officials from the embassies of the UK, the
United States, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Ireland and Ukraine took
turns and gave on-spot introductions on their countries' policies on
recruiting overseas students and the latest visa-related information to
those "prospective overseas students".
