Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Our group at the Badaling Great Wall, Beijing
Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to the
hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover
from the jet lag.

Day 02: Beijing
Before the tour starts, you will meet the other members of your group
this morning during the pre-tour briefing in the hotel. Your first stop
is the impressive Tian'anmen Square. From there you will enter the
"Imperial Palace" known as the Forbidden City to explore its many
fascinating halls and pavilions. You will then go to the Temple of
Heaven, the place where the Emperors worshipped the heaven for good
harvests. To round off a memorable start to your tour, we will arrange a
delicious Beijing Duck Dinner valued at CNY122.00 net per person at the
original, century-old Quan Ju De restaurant followed by a lively
Acrobatic Show. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
This morning you will be taken to Badaling where you will experience at
first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at the
shopping site restaurant, we specially arrange your lunch served at a
local popular Sichuan restaurant. Later the journey will take you to the
Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the peaceful shadow of Longevity
Mountain. After dinner, we intend to leave one hour's free time for you
to have a stroll in the traffic-free Wangfujing Street and absorb
something of the vibrant atmosphere of Beijing. (B+L+D)

Our group at the City Wall, Xian
Day 04: Beijing - Xian
You will take an afternoon flight to Xian after visiting the Summer
Palace and the lovely Giant Pandas. Upon arrival, you will be transferred
to check in at the hotel. An a la carte dinner valued at CNY60.00 net per
person will be arranged at a well-known restaurant. (B+L+D)

Day 05: Xian
The visit to the majestic Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will
start your today's tour. In the afternoon, you will visit the City Wall
and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. A splendid evening is in store when you
will be entertained at the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when
partaking of the famous Dumpling Banquet Dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 06: Xian
Today you will visit the Provincial History Museum, which houses a large
collection of historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi
Province. After lunch, you will be taken to visit a local family, which
helps you know well about the local people's life. Then go to see the
Great Mosque and have some free time to explore for some souvenirs or
antiques in the bazaar near the Mosque. (B+L+D)

Li River cruise, Guilin
Day 07: Xian - Guilin
This morning you will visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of
Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. Then board a flight to Guilin, you will be
met at the airport and transferred to check in the hotel upon arrival.

Day 08: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created as you cruise down the Li River to
Yangshuo. Then you will be transferred to your hotel. A short bicycle
trip to the countryside will then be arranged, which we feel sure will be
one of the most memorable parts of your tour. You may also visit a local
villager's home. If you feel tired, you can take our electric car instead
of taking bicycles. Dinner is leaved on your own. There are many
western-style restaurants and cafes in the famous West Street for your
choice. (Tips: Since lunch on the Li River cruise may not meet your
expectation, TCG suggests that you have a big breakfast at the hotel

Cycling around the Yangshuo rural area, Guilin
Day 09: Yangshuo - Guilin
Today, you will have the morning free to explore this small tranquil
town. You can hire a bicycle enjoying the breathtaking scenery around the
town or wonder along the West Street or having a pot of tea in a sidewalk
cafe. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at about 13:00 and
drive you back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant
Trunk Hill. You will enjoy the Ethnic Minority Songs and Dances at
Lijiang Theatre after dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Guilin - Shanghai
This morning you will be transferred to board a flight to Shanghai. Our
Shanghai guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. You will
be taken to visit Xin Tian Di, which is a newly developed recreation area
in Shanghai with old styled buildings. You may find a cafe or
western-style restaurant to have your dinner there during your
exploration. (B+L)

Strolling along the Bund, Shanghai
Day 11: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden. Then you will
have some free time to stroll along the Bund to experience the thrills of
old Shanghai. After sightseeing, you will be transferred back to your
hotel to have dinner. Upon returning to the hotel our tour guide will see
you into the lobby to say bon voyage. (B+L+D)

Day 12: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight
by yourselves. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return
home right away, we would suggest you choose our City Tour Packages as an

Important note:
To the airports:
Shanghai has two airports: Hongqiao Airport (9 miles (15 km) west of the
center of Shanghai) and Pudong Airport (19 miles (30km) southeast of
Shanghai). Please make sure you go to the right one for departure.
Best way to Airports:
Travel China Guide suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your
hotel (Zhong Ya Hotel) to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel
entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The trip to Pudong Airport
will take about one hour at 150 -170 RMB and it needs a 20 minutes' drive
to the Hongqiao Airport at 50 RMB. For the details please contact the
Reception of the hotel.
