Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Friday

Tiananmen Square, Beijing

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel.
The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Accommodation: Crowne Plaza 

Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quan Ju De
restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan
Theatre. (B+L+D)

Accommodation: Crowne Plaza 

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site
restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular
restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. The
a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in
the Wangfujing area. (B+L+D)

Day 04: Beijing - Urumqi
Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Urumqi and transfer to the
hotel. (B+L)

Southern Pasture, Urumqi

Day 05: Urumqi - Korla
Drive to Korla. Visit the Tiemen Pass. (B+L)

Accommodation: Petroleum Hotel

Day 06: Korla - Kuqa
Drive to Kuqa and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Subashi Ruins. (B+L)

Accommodation: Kuqa Hotel

Day 07: Kuqa - Aksu
Visit the Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves. Drive to Aksu and transfer to the
hotel. (B+L)

Accommodation: Hongfu Jinlan Hotel

Day 08: Aksu - Kashgar
Drive to Kashgar and transfer to the local best hotel. (B+L)

Accommodation: the local best hotel

Day 09: Kashgar - Karakuri Lake - Kashgar
Drive to the Karakuri Lake and have a visit there. Drive back to Kashgar
and transfer to the local best hotel. (B+L)

Karakuri Lake

Day 10: Kashgar
Visit the famous Sunday Market, the Id Kah Mosque and the Abakh Khoja
Tomb. (B+L)

Accommodation: the local best hotel

Day 11: Kashgar - Hetian
Drive to Hetian. Visit the Yarkant King Mausoleum and the Yingisar Uigur
Knife Making. Stay overnight at the hotel. (B+L)

Accommodation: Hetian Hotel

Day 12: Hetian - Minfeng
Visit the Silk Village, hundred years' old walnut tree and Paper Making.
On the way to Minfeng, you can visit a local bazaar and the unique
minority people's costume in Yutian city. Stay at the hotel in Minfeng.

Day 13: Minfeng - Korla
Drive to Korla through the Taklamakan Desert and enjoy the scenery of
sand dune. Stay overnight at the hotel. (B+L)

Id Kah Mosque, Kashgar

Day 14: Korla - Turpan
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Accommodation: Oasis Hotel

Day 15: Turpan
Visit the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves, the Gaochang Ruins and the
Flaming Hill. (B+L)

Accommodation: Oasis Hotel

Day 16: Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. Take an
overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B+L+D)

Day 17: Dunhuang
Pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. Breakfast
is on your side. Visit the Mogao Grottoes and the Dunhuang Museum. (L)

Day 18: Dunhuang - Xian
You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to
reach the Crescent Lake. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel.
A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this
evening. (B+L+D)

Accommodation: Hyatt Regency Hotel  - downtown

Sunday Bazaar, Kashgar

Day 19: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum. To avoid having the poor food at
the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a
well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the
Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. After you enjoy the local
speciality, the Dumpling Banquet, you will be entertained with the
marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

Day 20: Xian
Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch
at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family.

Day 21: Xian - Shanghai
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi
on the way to the airport. After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai and be
transferred to the hotel. (B+L)

Accommodation: Sofitel Hyland Hotel 

Day 22: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a
cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The farewell dinner is served at Wang
Bao He Hotel (4 star), followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at Shanghai
Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 23: Departure from Shanghai
